The Rundown: a runners’ carnival

A carnival of the runners, The Rundown is a weekly roundup of the best running-related blog posts. It’s here to interest, amuse, and hopefully inspire runners and non-runners alike who don’t have time to read 230+ running blogs each week.

This week’s carnival (week 24- Oct 18) is available here.

The carnival has its own domain name: Runorama.com, which will bring you to this page.

The carnival depends on YOU, its readers, for submissions. Email nominations to running /at/ derekrose.com. Any running-related posts with their own permalink are fine.

The weekly deadline is 10 p.m. EST Monday night, to allow for the inclusion of weekend race reports. The Carnival should appear the next day.

Are you interested in hosting a week? The carnival moves from host to host each week. Each week’s host is responsible for writing the roundup and hosting it on their blog. Email me at running /at/ derekrose.com to volunteer.

FAQs

What posts are you looking for?
Anything to do with the sport of running.

Will my submission be included in the roundup?
That’s up to the weekly guest host, but at this time we anticipate all nominations to do with running will be included.

If I submit a link, do I have to include a link back to the Carnival?
We’d appreciate it.

Can I nominate a friend’s blog-post, or a great post on a site I read?
Sure. Just remember to submit individual blog-posts, not entire blogs. We encourage blog authors to nominate their own work, but sometimes they’re too modest, so go ahead — do it for them!

Will I get a ton of traffic from being linked to/hosting The Rundown?
Probably not at the moment — we’re still a fledgling effort! But you can help by promoting the Carnival! Link to this page (use runorama.com) or where the roundup is each week.

I host a website about running. Can you include it in The Rundown?
We’re only including blogs-posts that have permalinks, sorry. But we’re willing to exchange links with running-related sites — you link to us, in exchange for a mention here.
